Couples Counseling Advantages

At Live Well, couples will receive the benefit of shared wellness sessions from husband and wife team, Dr. Otey-Scott & Minister Jason. We believe in the efficacy of couple to couple counseling and make every effort to co-counsel couples in each session.

1. Modeling Healthy Interaction

We don’t try to model perfection, but we do try to demonstrate constructive communication, empathy, and problem-solving in real time. Jason and I believe that this serves as a live example of healthy relational behaviors, which can be more impactful than abstract advice.

2. Balanced Perspectives

We both bring our own perspectives to each session, and we may relate differently to the issues being presented by each partner, which allows for broader empathy and insight.

It creates space for more nuanced understanding, as both male and female perspectives (if applicable) can be represented naturally.

Partner Testimonials

don’t just take our word for it
